2011 Porsche Boxster Black Edition

There's something ultimately quite masculine about the color black. I can't quite put my finger on it, but you paint a car black and all of a sudden you've got a man's car. In fact, you could paint a Pinto black and probably still get a sense of masculinity. It just evokes a sense  of mystery and power that, when done right, can bring out the features of a car through its minimalistic qualities. That's what makes the 2011 Porsche Boxster Black Edition so special. It's completely shrouded in darkness to remind you just how incredibly powerful and mysterious this sports car really is.

When I first inadvertently stumbled across the Boxster Black Edition while searching for a Philly used Porsche dealer, I was intrigued.  Maybe it was the black finishes on the body, wheels, roll bars, cloth top, interior trimming and even the signature "Black Edition" emblem you'll only find on this limited edition model. Of course you'll also notice the black leather seats, dashboard trimming, center console and steering wheel all match the same color scheme. Yes, the 2011 Porsche Boxster Black Edition certainly lives up to its name, and it's most certainly a Porsche.

With the Porsche name comes a certain amount of prestige and expectation of performance, and the Boxster Black Edition is no exception. This limited edition model is fitted with the strongest six-cylinder engine in the Boxster line-up clocking in at 320-hp and 7,200-rpm. Philadelphia Porsche 911 drivers will tell you those specs are just shy of the standard engine on the 911. And that's where the icing hits the cake. Porsche enthusiasts will love the fact that this car not only looks the part, it acts the part.

Naturally a "limited edition" wouldn't be very limited unless the manufacturing line kept the output to a minimum, so if you want to get your hands on one of these bad boys, you'll need to make nice with your local Philly used Porsche and new Porsche dealership.
